White Willow – The Herbal Aspirin

Did you know that White Willow, also known as “herbal aspirin”, is one of the herbs that can effectively heal chronic pain? In China, it is believed that the bark of this tree has the power to lower fevers and relieve pain. Salicin, its active ingredient is being converted to Salicylic acid by the body. In a certain cellular level, the herbal medicine helps in lowering the levels of Prostaglandins to reduce the pain and the inflammation. There are some testimonies by people who suffered from arthritis that the White Willow helped them and saw impressive changes. Maybe that means that White Willow is an effective pain killer for chronic pain too.
