One of the biggest concern of patients and health providers is the issue of getting addicted to pain medications. Experts say that a lot of kinds of chronic pain react to non-opioid drug treatments. Aspirin, acetaminophen, ibuprofen, naproxen and some non-steroidal anti in inflammatory drugs are examples of non-opioid pain medications that do not possess addiction potential. It is actually more effective if different types of analgesic medication in low dosages are combined. Compared to just a single medication with high dosage. But if the doctor’s prescription for your pain are opioids, and you take them as prescribed by the doctor, then it is not considered as drug abuse.
